The Diaries of Netovicius the Vampire is a fantasy audio series whose first episode was written and recorded on a whim by Hugo Pierre Martin, the voice actor behind Frenchman Chamber in the popular video game Valorant.
Neto (for short) was birthed out of a trip to Woonsocket, Rhode Island. As the series has progressed, characters have been honed and new ones added, with guest star voiceover artists from the world of video games, television, and film joining in to the fun.
This series has revealed itself to be an investigation of trauma. What is time to an immortal vampire? What is trauma? How does trauma shape someone so isolated and misunderstood, and how does it shape all of us? How do we recover, and who do we need in our lives to do so?
Sometimes heavy, and sometimes light, this series explores trauma, cults, loneliness, life and all its miraculous trappings, and the unmooring of oneself, brought on by grief, all within the context of a richly-built world saturated with magic that is constantly in flux.
Lastly, I would like to acknowledge the generous contributions of many artists and listeners across the globe who have helped bring this series about a little vampire artist to life. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
